What businesses have sponsored the GAC?
The GAC is an acronym for the Global Automotive Conference. It was developed to provide a unique opportunity for middle management of automotive assemblers, suppliers, and service providers to network, while learning key skills and emerging strategies of the future needed to survive in today's dynamic global environment. In addition, it creates an added value to the whole community, from students implementing what they have learned to faculty implementing what they have taught, into an interactive environment. GAC is an annual event that started in March 2000. It is organized in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which is in the heart of the US automotive corridor. Kentucky has the privilege of being the site for three world-class automotive assembly facilities in: Ford, General Motors, and Toyota. It is estimated that 62 automobile and truck assembly plants lie within next day delivery of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The GAC is administered by the Global Advanced-Leadership
Center (GALC).
The GAC has a diversified audience, which includes purchasers, plant managers, sales and marketing personnel, IT and IS personnel, researchers, designers, university faculty and students, human resource personnel, consultants, enterprise resource planners, executive officers, quality managers, economic developers, and state and federal government personnel.
