John is a founder and the Managing Partner of Bluegrass Logistics. Over the last 17 years John has helped leading organizations improve their financial and operational performance by streamlining their supply chains and leveraging leading technologies. John’s functional and technical supply chain experience spans the entire supply chain, including demand forecasting/planning, procurement, sales and customer support, distribution, transportation, and asset management. John’s industry experience includes automotive, printing/publishing, fulfillment, pharmaceuticals, consumer and packaged goods, agriculture products, and government.

Bluegrass Logistics is a leading provider of Third Party Logistics (3PL) and Supply Chain Consulting services. At Bluegrass, John is responsible for business development, operational management, solution development and delivery, technology strategy and deployment, and development of strategic partnerships/alliances.

Prior to founding Bluegrass, John has held senior management positions at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and United Parcel Service. At Accenture, John worked within the Global Supply Chain Practice. John led multiple programs and project teams in the creation and implementation of supply chain strategies and solutions aimed at delivering tangible client value. John also developed the Supply Chain Management Operations Group within the Federal Government Market Unit focusing on clients such as the Defense Logistics Agency, USPS, and US Department of State.

While at UPS, John led a regional client solutions group in developing and delivering innovative logistics management solutions geared toward reducing overall logistics costs. In addition, John led an internal operations improvement team and was responsible for quality initiatives within multiple small package sorting operations.

John holds a Master of Business Administration and a BS in Finance from the Gordon Ford College of Business, at Western Kentucky University.
